Over Christmas we embarked on a marathon of sorts. We decided to watch all of the Star Wars movies and series (with the exception of any of the cartoon series) in chronological order. We have one last movie to complete and we are done. It was kind of fun to do it and see all of the connections that have been inserted to each that bind them together.
When Star Wars came out, in 1977, it was like nothing I’d ever watched before. I went to the movie theatre to see it ten times that year. I have absolutely no idea of how many times I have seen the original movie by this time of my life….a lot.
And while I am not one of those crazy collectors of movie paraphernalia, I do smile when I see my Star Wars Trivial Pursuit board and figures.
R2 has a lasting charm.
Does this make me a nerd?
Probably.
I can live with that.
