The world turned white over the weekend….ok, so not the world, but most of the Lower Mainland did. And then is snowed again most of today. And…happily, the temperature is going to largely stay below zero for the rest of the week meaning the wintery prettiness will stick around and give me a couple more scenic ‘commutes’ to work this week. This makes me happy, because I’m one of those weirdos who likes winter.

I did lose out on something I wanted to do today….there was some work to be done at a hatchery up the Sea to Sky and it was cancelled due to weather.

On one hand I was like “…but I know how to drive in winter conditions, and I have a really good set of tires on a truck I know really well….”
Followed by “….but I live in the Lower Mainland….which means that the majority of drivers here do not share those skills or have decent tires….and I am smart enough to know that even though I ‘could’ drive….I ‘shouldn’t’ drive”.
Because I don’t want to end up like this stink bug that fell out of a tree and onto the snow as I walked home today….
