The work on the courtyard continued today. Three Japanese maple trees and about eight relatively well established azalea bushes to remove and then equivalent temporary holes to dig in various corners of the garden to house them until I can decide where, or if, they will go when the renovations are done.
Boulders to dislodge from heir resting places, lights to pull down, and all the tiles to knock loose from the concrete they were laid on, using a crowbar. A couple of branches to saw off the big maple, raking leaves up, moving bricks….and on and on and on.
It was a busy (but productive) weekend and, at the end of it……pain pills are in order..
