At the end of the day I both want to be a bit creative, and also just want to be a lump. I’m glad when I muster the wherewithal to pick up the camera and take a kind of a cool image and then play with it a bit in processing. I didn’t really do much other than sharpen a bit and clean up a bit of reflection on the black surface (a frying pan) and I was happy with it.
Nothing exciting, just a little container of toothpicks that lives in a drawer….but it also has sentiment…not the toothpicks, but the container they are in, which you can’t actually see, but it is a little pink and white bit of pottery that my Granny made in some distant point in the past.
It used to live in the kitchen cupboard at my grandparent’s home and, when the house was sold and I was up in Canoe helping clean things out and identify items to keep, to distribute to family, or to let go of, this little toothpick container was something I liked and that I felt could continue to serve its purpose in my own home.
