You wouldn’t know it from the thermometer though…29C on the back deck the past few days. It “is” still summer, and September always has a few tricks up her sleeve. The rain a recently freshened the forest up and, when I went for my run, and later when I walked down to the hatchery to pick up a vehicle for my road trip tomorrow, the forest had a fresh and earthy scent to it.
Early September both makes me a bit sad because it means the summer days are coming to an end, but it’s also a time I love because the mornings and evenings are starting to get a bit crisp and I love the rich colours that fall brings with her.
