Christmas at the edge of the river (356/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

I needed to go down to Park Royal mall today and had absolutely no interest in driving there on the 22nd of December, three days before Christmas. So I walked the three and a half kilometres each way and got a bit of exercise out of the deal. I intended to go for a run today, but my ankle was being weirdly fuzzy this morning so I opted to test it out with the walk, and the walk informed me that running on said ankle was not a good idea.

This time last year I walked to the mall….in a really fabulous amount of the winter white stuff.

No white Christmas in Vancouver this year, the only snowmen will be ornaments or inflated lawn decorations, but I did appreciate these cheerful ornaments dangling from a couple of trees along the lower Capilano River.
