Sundays (337/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

Weekends are flexible. There are things we should have done, things we did do, chores we planned but didn’t execute, plans we managed to complete.

We got the deck sort of back together after having the foundation lifted, but still have a 16″ x 36″ hole in our living room floor as the concrete around one of the foundation jacks cures. The other five foundation lifts are outside.

We managed to replant all the things I dug out the other week in advance of the work; most plants will be fine, one or two are a concern because there were in the ground for years and may not take kindly to having been pulled from their bed.

Time will tell.

Yesterday was an unexpectedly glorious December day that we used to full advantage.

Today we kinda hurt.

It was raining, grey, miserable, cold, dark, this morning. So we couched and cozied. But there were errands to run, a Costco trip to make, things to do. And shockingly, the sun came out again.

We probably should have gone home and continued to put things back together but, instead….we opted for a few games of pool at the pub….

….which I lost miserably at….

…and this…below…today’s photo….can you identify it?
