Choices are hard. Sometimes I take a shot and see it in monochrome, but when I bring it into that format….I can’t decide if I like it better in colour or in monochrome; I chose the coloured image in the end.
I was trying to get the shot outside but I missed the best light and it was starting to get dark. I gave up, snapped a few seed heads off and brought them indoors. It made for a completely different image than what I was after and became a still life instead of a naturally lit outside shot. Different, but still fun to play with the lighting for.
Side by side I really do like them both though. Regardless, I love the texture and elegance of the overlapping sections of the hanging sea oats.
