Same walk, different day (290/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

The rain waited until I was at the office today, and then it let up (mostly) long enough for me to hike home before opening up the floodgates shortly after I came through the door. I appreciated that 🙂

The river is up a bit again, and today the river on the hatchery side of Cable Bridge hosted several kayakers taking advantage of the increased spill from the dam, while downstream of the bridge the rocks were full of fishermen seeking the salmon that are migrating up in the higher flows.

Everyone out on the river today is happy with the rains.

And me? Well, these forest views never get old and with the rains lately, the term “forest bathing” seems appropriate.
