I haven’t been fishing on the Shovelnose since the fall before COVID; I was supposed to come up here last year, but the fish came into the river late and by the time they were showing up I was headed up north. It was a bit emotional coming up here today, with Murray having passed away just a few weeks ago, after a cruel card having been dealt that took him away so terribly quickly.
Even though the area has changed a lot since the last time I was here…..I still see and hear Murray everywhere in this spot.
