Little Put-up Jobs (216/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

It’s that time of year again, the time of year when the seasonal fresh produce comes home and the canner comes out. I really don’t need to make anything this year, or at least very little, but I can’t help myself, it’s in my DNA to do some little put up jobs. And when I come across some pretty little apricots out at the produce market….some brightly coloured apricot jam will end up in little jars in the pantry.

I should have made it far earlier in the day, but it was my day off today and, other than torturing myself with a run this morning, I did very little. But when we were out for a beer and some wings and the water came in mason jars, it was like a guilty voice was reminding me that I had a little container of apricots waiting in the refrigerator…..having spent the past five days waiting there for some attention.
