Me, the plants, the forest, and a lot of people in parts of the province.
A bit of cooler weather and some rain and everything seems lighter in some ways.
Yes, colder air is heavier, and the rain definitely was weighing the plants down; the boughs arching over the trail this morning were a little lower and I had to duck under a few as they dipped on my head.
But the air feels a little cleaner when it’s cool following a rain. The plants in the forest, the forest itself, feels like it it breathing better.
And the cooler air and some moisture is definitely welcome around the province in a spring that has seen an extraordinary fire season taking off.
And I too am finally breathing easier and the cough has all but subsided. The cold finally seems to have broken on Sunday. I worked from home yesterday and had a few hack-attacks, but finally had a good night’s sleep last night and took a chance at working from the hatchery office today. I survived a few calls and a four hour course in the afternoon with few instances of coughing. So, I’d say I’m about 80% back to normal.
