Today the weather had a bit of a case of schizophrenia…it was cold and wet when we got up….still a bit damp from yesterday’s rain. We went to Costco since it didn’t seem like a great day for a motorcycle ride….and when we came out…it was like someone had flipped a switch ……..
….the sky was bright blue, the sun had warmth, the temperature had gone up by about four degrees, and you had to hunt to find a cloud.
Oh well, the day had turned into one of catching up on grocery shopping with some gardening not he afternoon’s agenda….
And despite hours of work…..the garden looks like I did so little.
Three hours of digging, pruning, snipping, weeding, shearing, sawing…..and two big compost bins filled to the top, with more branches at the back of the yard, and it literally looks like I did nothing!
When we went looking for a new home ten years ago I wanted something with “a postage stamp yard that I wouldn’t be a slave to…”
Yeah, so that didn’t happen….
Oh well.
