I have a wisteria vine that just keeps getting better every year. It’s different from most others I see around, the majority are Japanese wisteria that flower earlier in the spring. But this one blooms late, and sometimes throws a few additional flowers out in July. It’s also a much slower grower, so it’s relatively easy to keep under control, unlike the Japanese wisteria I had back at the condo.
And the smell…..heady! Walking home this afternoon, as I passed underneath the twisted vine overhead, I stopped and breathed deeply, it was like walking into an invisible fragrant cloud.
Up close and personal, they look like chains of little orchids….or stacks of little monkey faces 😊

I don’t see the monkeys 🐒… just flowers.
