You might think that this is a relic with no functional purpose in today’s world of electric beaters.
You’d be wrong.
I still have one of these on the boat for whipping cream because sometimes you just really want whipping cream and an electric beater takes too much energy when you are at anchor and conserving battery power to keep the fridge running so the wine stays cold (priorities you know).
This one is older than that one though, this one belonged to my grandmother and now hangs in my pantry and makes me smile when I see it. And, every so often, one might want to make whipping cream during a power outage….it happens!
