Yesterday was a flight to the Island to spend the day at PBS and a flight back home.
Today it was back to the Island, just a short way beyond Nanaimo for a meeting, but this time it was by ferry, with a coworker.
Not a great photo today, just a sunset through the window, a quick snap with the phone on the way into Departure Bay from the vehicle deck….though it was kind of funny to see the biological station from two different views on two consecutive days. Yesterday from the air, today from the water.
And one thing I love about taking the ferry, is that sometimes, if you’re lucky, you run into some of your favourite people….like a labmate, and academic big brother, from your grad school days….and you have a fabulous crossing because you spend the entire trip catching up after not seeing each other for four or five years.
It was a very good day.
