A crazy day of travel that started with an obscene early wake-up, to take an early ferry, then a drive to Sayward, then I took the keys and drove like a bat out of hell to get back to Nanaimo, where I bailed on my two colleagues and caught the last float plane of the day back to Vancouver so that I could get home to make it to a live show that my better half bought tickets for as a Christmas gift.
I wasn’t completely certain I would make it home….but somehow…I did.
And I am very glad that I did.
Because we got to sit in on a special event…a live recording of a series of episodes of The Debaters. A highly entertaining semi-scripted comedy show that I love to listen to while I am on long road trips. If you are interested….hear you go – https://www.cbc.ca/radio/thedebaters – enjoy!
Somehow it worked and I made it, tho’ the other two are now only halfway back across on the ferry with the vehicle…do I feel guilty?
