When you and a small group of others have a meeting on MS Teams and decide to have a followup session for a full day and the question is “Should we set it up as another Teams meeting?….or shoot for a face to face meeting where a couple of you do not live…..?”
The choice can be really easy these days….”Face to face” was the unanimous decision.
My options to get to the Island are ferry or float plane…the ferry eats up an hour and a half plus time to get there and back….on both sides. Flying takes a 15 minute cab ride, 20 minutes for the flight itself, and a short up and down the dock.
I do often opt for the ferry, because I get time to do some work on the boat, but for a day trip that is only to Nanaimo, there is no more efficient and both time and cost effective means than the float plane.
Plus it never really gets old. Even on the days that you have to wait for a little while for enough light that the pilots can safely take off.
