Flavour Favourite (5/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

I’m already questioning my decision to try and undertake a 365 project this year….and it’s only day 5.

I’m still trying to stick handle my substantive position, while acting in a new one, and trying to juggle all that this one is starting to entail.

I’m trying to also staff a few positions; I have one and he’s brand new to the program; it will take some significant time to learn the ropes and gain some experience and confidence, but he brings some knowledge and expertise that we need.

In the meantime I am trying to navigate the frustrating, new to me, intricacies of staffing so that I can get a couple of more experienced people in place to help the program and take a bit of pressure off.

Then there is the one remaining class that I chose to continue teaching, and that starts up next Monday.

Add to that the fact that I’m still trying to figure out how to maintain an exercise regime in all that somewhere…..I am NOT losing the ground I gained….and it all adds up to a few days of “shit, what am I going to take a photo of!” already.

Ah well, it will be what it will be….the upside is that I am not a ball of barely contained anger anymore.

So.

Here is some yummy Russian red garlic…so much better than those sharp tasting little white lumps that are so prevalent at the grocery store. Each big juicy clove from one of these babies is the size of three of those typical garlic cloves, and has such better flavour.

Mmmmmmm…..garlic…..our kitchen would be so boring without a big pile of juicy heads of garlic stashed away in the pantry.
