Spinning in Place

Most things remind me of a song, and when I pulled this image into Photoshop to clean it up I started humming a tune that it then took me a few minutes to place. Eventually I figured it out….Ellis Paul – The World Ain’t Slowing Down.

On one hand, the world feels as if it came to a screeching halt when COVID arrived on the scene. On the other hand…the world never stopped spinning, we just started spinning differently on it….we started spinning in place.

Slowly but surely, our circles will grow and we will return to some semblance of normalcy. I do hope that, when we come out the other side of this, we will appreciate the world a little more, appreciate our family, friends, and colleagues a little more.

I hope that we will not be so nonchalant about our travel, that we consider our impacts and make more ecologically conscious decisions on the food we buy, the clothes we wear, the places we go and how we get there, and on what we waste in the process of all the above.
