It’s a bit amazing that, into our tenth month of working from home, we still haven’t really figured out the mute button. Anyone and everyone who has been living in the world of MS Teams/Zoom/Webex these days will agree.
Maybe it’s a function of us all collectively getting used to the technology and subconsciously reverting to the world of two way synchronous transmissions. But when you have more than two people on a call, defaulting to mute when it’s not your turn to speak makes sense.
But it is funny that, almost without fail, at least once in any given conference call….someone has to be told that they are speaking but that no one in hearing them, because they are still on mute. 🙂
