Once upon a time we used to order pizza fairly often on Fridays. By once upon a time I don’t mean just pre-COVID, I mean several years ago.
Then, somewhere along the line, I realized how easy it is to just make up a big batch of pizza dough, cut it into pieces large enough for a single pizza, and freeze them individually before the second rise.
When we want pizza for dinner we just pull a lump of dough out of the freezer in the morning to thaw, heat the oven (and the pizza stone) to 500C for an hour, roll out the dough and top it with whatever tasty bits we want, drop the dough on the stone for 8 minutes….and voila!
Pizza.
Easiest Friday dinners ever!
