When I was a kid, we had a cabin out at Summit Lake. When the sun when down and the kerosene lamps were lit and hissing away above us, the four of us always played games before bed.
Today we play Yahtzee, but when I was a kid I remember YUM Basically the same game โ five dice, three rolls to get the best score and meet a series of challenges on the score sheet.

In both games there is the best count for each of 1 through 6โฆreplicates of each, with. bonus if one gets a score of 63 or greater in that set.
In Yahtzee there is both a large and small straight, while Yum just had a straight that was to include all dice.
Each includes a full house on the score card, each also has a Yahtzee/Yum, which is all dice rolled being the same number.
Yahtzee has โChanceโ, which is basically a roll that doesnโt net you anything else and is hopefully high enough that you donโt need to scratch something else.
While Yum didnโt have a Chance roll, it had a High roll, which had to be greater than 22, and a Low roll, which had to be lower than your high, but not lower than 21.
Yahtzee had a 3 of a kind and a 4 of a kind; Yum had neither.
Iโm assuming that YUM was a rip off of Yahtzee, which was originally called โYachtโ for having been invented as an easy game while boating.
Did anyone else out there ever play Yum?
