Another day working on the fence; not quite as intense as yesterday, and we quit earlier since we are both bone tired and just didn’t have the oomph that we had yesterday, But the frame is totally in, and we have about thirty feet of 6.6′ tall fence left to install slat on and then the outside is done except for staining and backfilling with soil, a few plants, and grass seed.
The main goal is to get the slat in, the frame tops cut down, and a cap board painted and put in….preferably before the neighbours get back from their long weekend so that we can continue to use their driveway for all the back work.
Then we have to put the front yard back together and bring in a yard or two of soil, and seed it, to fill the area along the driveway that used to have fence but will be open.
And then I think we take a break before tackling the inside of the fence, which at least can be done bit by bit, and in prebuilt panel sections.
And so, because I am tired, hot, and not feeling particularly well, here is a spiky thing in my garden (a globe thistle).
