2020, metaphorically speaking…..or maybe not?
An outing to the lumber yard to price out fence posts and cedar slats; it’s time to replace the crap fence that has been here since we bought the place. The existing fence is poorly built, falling down in spots, and i just ugly. Our neighbour built a spectacular fence a few years ago, and it makes ours look even that much worse.
It’s time to rebuild.

While wandering the yard, a stack of PVC pipes caught my eye and seemed like an appropriate metaphor for the year so for….it is day 200 of 2020.
Chew on that for a moment.
While driving there, we passed the yacht club and the large empty lot next door. The lot is slated to become a hotel, maybe, someday.

But today it was a stage for a local photographer to practice his craft with a dedication to his art that I clearly do not aspire to share. See….I just probably wouldn’t think to take my kitchen stand mixer and head to the waterfront to photograph it.
That’s just a strange love affair there…
