Living in North Vancouver means living on the side of a mountain; there just isn’t anything flat, anywhere, until you get to the ocean, but then you eventually have to go uphill to get back home.
We didn’t insure the motorcycles this summer, opting instead to put the money into the boat. And I haven’t gotten around to renewing the insurance on the scooter. Since Kirk was at the office today, and I was wanting to go out and do a couple of things, I took the bicycle down to Park Royal to pick up an item at a shop there.
Since it’s largely all downhill, it only took about ten minutes to get there to find out that the shop I wanted to visit….isn’t reopening until tomorrow.
Sigh.
Ten minutes downhill to get there….30 minutes to peddle my sorry old ass back up the hill to home.
Oh well, at least I got some good exercise today.
