I love this wisteria for its late blooms. When most other things in the garden are finished or finishing, this one is finally putting its own little performance on. And I can never quite decide whether I think they look more like sweet peas, or little purple monkey faces.
It depends on the light and the frame of mind I am in I suppose.
And the fragrance…… a heady and beautiful perfume as you walk underneath it. It just invites you to stop and bury your nose in the long and pendulous blooms.
They may not be quite as showy as the Japanese wisteria that I grew at our former home, but they have other virtues that make them welcome in this ever-evolving new garden.

Fabulous POV & focusing. I never took much notice of Wisteria until recently, it smells divine. Seen & admired in the Square Format group.
