Trash Panda

by The Philosophical Fish

I was working at my home desk when I saw movement outside the window on the top of my courtyard wall. Squirrels usually use it for a highway but today’s visitor was a little larger.

Ever feel like you are being watched?

A trash panda came into view and I picked up my iPhone to grab a quick snap.

It stopped.

I stopped.

We stared at each other for a few moments, wondering what the other was up to and what threat was posed…then we both returned to what we’d been doing, it waddled to the edge of the wall and down my maple tree to disappear into the garden undergrowth… and life went on.

It was a different, and welcome, interlude to the afternoon.

Lousy photo, nice moment.
