What will this summer look like for people? Would you travel for pleasure? Would you stay in a hotel? If you did stay in a hotel, would you use room service or housekeeping services?Would you take a cruise? Would you fly? Would you visit an all inclusive resort? Would you eat at a communal buffet?
Or would you be more likely to go camping in your own tent/camper/trailer/camper-van? An option that keeps you self contained with your own everything. The only issue might be communal showers and toilets if tenting.
Our boat is almost ready to get back out, so I see that as our escape. We won’t be doing overnights, at least not unless we put Gizmo into the vet clinic overnight. It’s an option, not an inexpensive option, but still an option. We haven’t taken it out in a very, very, very long time, gremlins have been exorcised so it’s finally almost ready to get back in action…but we are treating ourselves as new boaters all over again. It’s our version of a motorhome on the ocean. Maybe strap on the paddleboards and go somewhere that doesn’t require us to trip over people on a local beach to get access to the water.
When I am uninspired I tend to turn to toys.
A beach would have been better, but I don’t have a beach in my backyard.
I do, however have a waterfall, a stream, and a small pond in my backyard.
I also have an Amazon Prime account and a credit card.
This is not a good combination when I am bored and seeking silly inspiration.
Therefore I also have a little VW Van.
In fact, I now have a small collection of toy Volkswagen vehicles and am waiting for a little red Vespa.
