I had thought the entire weekend was going to be a wash, but it couldn’t have been farther from the truth. Although Saturday did sputter and rain a little bit, it wasn’t awful and we still did get some time outdoors.
Yesterday started with a downpour and Kirk had to go clean the eavestroughing out because we had a new water feature coming off the dining room roof…not one we want.
By afternoon the sun was coming out and it shaped into a lovely evening.
Today broke with an almost clear sky filled with expanses of blue and the temperature was perfect for planting some seeds and weeding the rat’s nest along the driveway.
By the way…I hate English ivy…and anyone who plants the stuff should be detailed with pulling the stuff out every year. When we first moved in here we thought the driveway was three feet narrower than it actually turned out to be!
The rhododendrons are almost fully in bloom and the bees are having a field day with them. When I walk under the large ones, they are literally humming with bees.
This makes me happy.
