A trifecta moment for the old guy.
When I was giving him his antibiotics after lunch today I noticed that he has a couple of dark spots on his itchy neck – pinfeathers coming in. So that’s good. Maybe this all is just a really, really, shitty moult being exacerbated by stress and his heart condition.
I do wonder if our being around 24/7 for the past 7 weeks has perhaps had a little bit to do with it too. He’s had 28 years of quiet (with just the radio on) alone time most days during the week when we are at work. It has to be a bit odd for him to have the disturbance of our presence all day, every day.
