My kitchen seems to be the focus of my world this week 🙂
Today was some “smoked” candied salmon.
When we buy sides of salmon we portion them into sections for the freezer but the tails are always popped into a separate bag until there are enough to warrant a little batch of candied yumminess.
It was just a few salmon tails that were in the freezer so not enough to actually fire up the smoker so I fudged it with a bit of brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, red pepper marinade overnight and then into the dehydrator for a few hours today, then basting it with a honey, water, liquid smoke mixture while it was “smoking”.
Still, it’s a tasty treat that cleaned some bits and pieces out of the freezer 🙂
