Sundays always seem to be the day for restocking the fridge and pantry, and the little local produce shop is a great place to fill one’s basket with nuggets of healthiness.
Outside, on a pallet, was a huge bin of oranges, bright and shiny and promising a sweet and juicy hit of Vitamin C in every bite 🙂 I loved the bright and cheery orange colour on a grey and rainy afternoon, so today’s shot was just a quick catch with the iPhone.
I remember when, growing up, an orange was such a bright spot in a season otherwise populated with only apples, bananas, grapes, and pineapples and papayas from Hawaii for the fruit bowl.
Now we have everything pretty much all the time.
The downside of that fact is that we are rarely as appreciative of them as we once were.
