June 4, 2017 – So many things in the garden are so late, and some succumbed to the cold winter or the overly wet spring and disappeared completely. I thought my autumn ferns were gone but they have all, slowly but surely, pushed out their new bronze foliage and proven me wrong.
I went and bought a new azalea to replace one that I thought was dead…and still may not make it. The entire plant, albeit not big, has but one teeny tiny bud with two little tiny leaves pushing out from it. I’m not sure that’s enough to sustain it, but perhaps.
