May 7, 2017 – We are lucky to live where we do, not a day goes by that I don’t recognize that fact and feel grateful for it. And living between the Pacific ocean and the coastal mountain range is something that we are always only to happy to share with others, if for no other reason than it takes us back to the spots we love and reminds us to appreciate the environment around us.
Years ago we made it a bit of a tradition to take the bicylces to Whistler on or around my birthday for a ride. Back then the rides were a bit more strenuous and involved much more difficult trails, if I looked closely I would probably still find the scars from when I embedded the sprocket into my calf on a particularly stupid wipeout, at the time it looked like I was sporting a shark-bite.
These days we take it a bit easier, and stick to the flatter trails, but it’s still fun, particularly when good friends are along for the ride.

A beautiful scene, the lake looks wonderful – and the float plane is a good find for the theme too.
