December 19, 2016 – A few weeks ago I did a favour for a friend. It was a favour, no payment expected, and yet she surprised me with the most wonderfully tiny subminiature spy camera!
It has a working shutter, winds, removable film spindles, complete with a tiny roll of paper backed film that can be exposed and forwarded to the opposite spindle, and its own leather case that it snaps into for safe keeping. The lens is about the diameter of a penny.
It is a real, functional, itty bitty camera circa 1950. (http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Hit-type_cameras)
It’s such an adorable treasure!
And it makes me think of my Dad because he used to use a camera that had a similar leather case.
Thanks Anne!!! I just love it!
