December 13, 2016 – Today was a balmy -5C out in the Fraser Valley, and though it was windy, it didn’t detract from how lovely the snow makes the world look.
However, when the temperature dips down below the freezing point, it does make working with fish a bit cold on the hands. And rubber boots, no matter the socks within, really don’t insulate feet against ice and snow very well.
But it was all fabulous because we were under the bright blue sky and the sunlight was reflecting off of the brilliant white snow, and we were spawning sockeye salmon and, on top of all that, with these fantastic snow covered mountains close at hand, how could the day be anything but wonderful?
