November 25, 2016 – It’s sort of funny that I’d taken over 120 photos before 5pm, but that I didn’t have a photo for the day. I spent a fun filled couple of hours taking photos for and of a friend and colleague. Taking photos of people is something I generally avoid, but under the circumstances it was a pleasure to do so.
But I was still without a photo for my half-365.
Luckily, my guy and I had a date-night planned that took us across town.
I don’t often see Vancouver from this angle at night, but tonight we had tickets for a Arts Club Theatre performance in the Olympic Village. Before the show we went for dinner and a short walk on the waterfront, and the calm night presented some lovely options, and luckily (un-shockingly) I had a camera in my purse.
Damn this is a beautiful city, particularly so when the waters are calm and smooth and the city reflects so gorgeously.
And the theatre performance – The Day Before Christmas – was entertaining and poignant as well. A thoughtful look in at how we cling to tradition and try desperately to have that perfect family moment, and go a little bit crazy in the process.
