Day 327 – Jade Bay & Making Babies

by The Philosophical Fish

November 22, 2016 – Traffic was lighter today, and I was on the road earlier than normal, so that meant I had 20-30 minutes I could kill before having to be at the lab.

I like this spot on rainy or foggy days at this time of year and this time of day; it’s always empty and devoid of human life, and the lake is often still and peaceful, unlike the crazy days of summer when I want nothing to do with this tourist trap.

The rain held off for most of the day, but we still got a bit wet before moving indoors to do the matrix spawning and create 152 new families of Cultus Lake sockeye salmon.

My job is so cool.
