October 30, 2016 – Twenty-six days of rain this month, so when the sun comes out, you just don’t waste the opportunity! You get the hell out there and enjoy it, dammit!
So we didn’t!
(Didn’t waste it, that is)
Kirk tossed the bicycles in the back of the truck and we had a fabulous time riding the seawall around Stanley Park and basking in the beauty that is Vancouver on a sunny fall day at the end of October. The seawall was filled with cyclists, rollerbladers, runners, walkers, people with dogs, people with strollers, kayaks on the water and, best of all, the sounds of waves, seagulls, eagles, and conversations in so many different languages.
The seawall provides interesting vantage points for viewing the city; downtown, the North Shore, English Bay. The beaches, Siwash Rock, the Girl in the Wetsuit. It’s all worth taking in any day, more so on a beautiful day.
There are so many things that make this such an amazing place to live, not the least of which is the multiculturalism that makes it so cosmopolitan and therefore so interesting.
