October 2, 2016 – Years and years ago my Mom gave this wind-chime to Kirk as a gift.
At the condo it hung above the pond, that was probably bad karma for the goldfish, and the raccoons did get them once or twice. Or maybe I hung it there after the raccoons got them once already, I don’t exactly remember.
I’m not sure why she gave it to him as a gift, since I’m the fish biologist, perhaps it was a case of her having bought it, and there was an occasion to get it out of her hands and into someone else’s.
Reasonably likely.
Either way, there was a morbid irony to its placement.
Now it tinkles away upstairs at the new place, currently in one of the little arbutus trees on the upper deck.
Regardless, it probably makes me a nerd that I work with fish and have a fish skeleton for a wind-chime, doesn’t it.

It’s the indicator you were always a nerd.
I can live with that….
I still have my trumpet….
And….
It’s a shiny object….
