November 22, 2015 – While walking through some streets in East Vancouver for the Eastside Culture Crawl we were enjoying the old buildings and the disappearing architecture of the more historical parts of the city….and were enjoying some of the late….and early, flowering plants. Like this pretty pink flowering currant. It’s a little early, I usually don’t see them until December/January….but maybe that’s because I am just not paying attention.
And there are people who wonder why I love living here so much…. 🙂

Funny…Kira and I were just talking about how you go out of your way to photograph that tree that flowers in January just for me. 🙂
It’s a bit of an annual tradition.
Mom used to call me up in February when she was sick of winter and piles of dirty snow and she;d ask me if I had any flowers yet. When I’d tell her the daffodils were up and other things were in bloom or getting ready, she’d get mad and snap at me.
Well, she asked!!!
The big difference here is that I don’t ask. 🙂
But it shows that I’m thinking about my best friend…isn’t that a good thing?
I’m thinking I would enjoy a phone call more. 🙂
Yes, but I can’t always call when I’m thinking about you, so sometimes I think it’s just nicer to let you know I’m thinking of you …. in the moment 😀
See? I’m a super thoughtful friend!!!
Don’t you agree? 😉
Oh yes….sooooo thoughtful. 😛
I’m glad you agree
I’m gettin’ misty….
Nothing quite like memories of family traditions Paige
I miss that game 🙁
