November 14, 2015 – I was not in the mood for much of anything today, the blinding pain caused me to have a full meltdown in the morning, but it seems to have lessened a bit now. As my new Director said to me yesterday “Better living through chemistry.”
I usually get up to so much on the weekends, today we were supposed to go to the Christmas Craft Fair and then out to friends for a party this evening. I hardly made it off the couch, though I did get some marking done while I was there.
So the camera was hardly calling to me, so just a random photo today.
But this zipper did leave me with two thoughts.
#1. Have you ever looked at your zippers and noticed that the vast majority of them are stamped YKK? That’s because the acronym stands for Yoshida K?gy? Kabushikigaisha, the world’s largest zipper maker.
#2. When I looked at that acronym, and given that my airport code here is YVR, I wondered if YKK also stood for an airport somewhere. Turns out that it does, one right here in BC actually! A small little place up north, just below Alaska, on Dolphin Island, near Haida Gwaii, the Kitkatla Water Aerodrome is airport code YKK.
And that’s about as intelligent as I can get today.
