July 19, 2015 – Nature sometimes provides the best light.
I didn’t even set this up.
I looked up from what I was reading as I was sipping my morning coffee and the only sunshine that was making its way into the windows landed right on top of one of two loaves of banana bread I baked late last night.
One of the breads is for our neighbour who came over to help Kirk with a telephone wiring issue that cropped up. All the phone lines for our four unit building enter our garage and spread from there. The wiring is old and brittle, some of it probably dating back to the 50’s when the place was built. When Kirk was trying to consolidate it into a smaller space and checked with our three neighbours, one had her line go dead. Another of our little co-op is a former telephone guy and had all the tools to get things working again. He deserves a sweet thank you for his efforts, so the second bread won’t go into the freezer as originally planned.
But this one, it’s for us, and Mother Nature decided to highlight it unexpectedly this morning.
Seemed like it was begging for a photo.
