July 10, 2015 – That’s the slogan that Edgemont Village has been using this past month or so. Birds of a feather flock together. The Village was covered with these plastic pink flamingos in recent weeks, and even though Kirk hates them, they make me smile 🙂
Busy busy day, didn’t pull the camera out at all. At around 7pm we could hear loud music in the distance and realized the Edgemont Village Summer Concert Series was on again. Kinda cool that we could hear it from our yard, so we went for a walk into the Village to enjoy a fabulous band – Souled Out – along with a few hundred other Village residents. A section of Highland Boulevard is closed off and locals bring their chairs to enjoy the evening of music.
Adding to tonight’s pleasure was some cooler air flowing in, and some cloud cover. We are hoping for a bit of rain this weekend and, although it won’t be much, it will be a very welcome change from the heat and the dry air we have been subjected to for so long.
In the meantime, here’s a pink flamingo 🙂
