July 1, 2015 – Happy Canada Day (OK, I’m a day behind because we have family visiting, so Happy Yesterday).
It was a wickedly hot day for Vancouver, 33C! Clear blue skies, a nice breeze down by the water, a visit to the Canada Day celebrations down at Waterfront Park, a performance by two Seaspan tugs of the delicate manner in which something that looks so ungainly can be manipulated.
On the walk along the Spirit Trail these signs were located at trail intersections, and I couldn’t help but think they were a bit amusing.
And to round out the day, we took our chairs down to the yacht club and watched the Canada Day fireworks light up the sky over downtown Vancouver.
Nice day!
Happy 148th Birthday Canada! We are young, but we are still pretty awesome 🙂
