Nature's Abstracts (162/365)

June 11, 2015 – Nature really creates the best art.

This is a souvenir from a night with a full moon spending the midnight hour with a beaker and a turkey baster.

One person in FB land was with me, and there may be a few who recognize this object.

Anyone know what it is?

Is this from that night? I remember the night but not which coral was spawning. I remember tanks of corals spawning. Very cool. 12 years ago – crazy!

To be honest, I’m not sure what we were spawning…beyond coral and “how cool was that!!”.

These were cleaned remnants from some other experiment, but from the Island for certain.

Somehow I ended up with two and each has an ID tag glued to the bottom.

Cool! We had a couple in our reef tank in Davis. What I remember is snorkeling with George on the other side of the reef and being scared of the tiger sharks. I remember the army base having a tiger shark patrol.

Yes, I remember that, though I didn’t go snorkeling with you. I do remember offering to loan GKI my mask…and crying with laughter at how narrow my eyes are compared to his. The mask didn’t even cover the outer edges of his eyes.

Never realized how narrow my face was until then 😀
