May 31, 2015 – Capilano Lake, one of Vancouver’s water reservoirs on the North Shore and just a 3 minute drive from our home.
Of course we didn’t drive, we took the world’s most circuitous route covering nearly every single residential street between our place and this spot. 14 km to be exact….by direct route it’s just 2.1km, but we are breaking in our new bicycles, so A to B was out of the question. And North Vancouver is all hills, so back and forth takes the pain out of it.
It’s funny how there are such beautiful spots just moments from our front door, and yet we visit them so infrequently. Perhaps the bicycles will change that a bit.
We live in such a magnificent place!

In reality it feels like the bicycle broke my butt!
