End of the Work-Week (100/365)

April 10, 2015 – 100 days into my fourth 365 Project (after a two year hiatus) and I’m still going!

And on top of that, today I managed to finalize a guidance piece that I’ve been working on, and herding others in their contributions for, for several months. Today I let it go and sent it out to the wider audience for use in new projects that fall under it’s umbrella.

I also had an unexpected chance to speak with someone about an opportunity to do some mentoring/job shadowing as I’m thinking I may be interested in his job when he retires in a couple of years. It was a tender subject to broach as we really didn’t start of the right foot a few years ago. I had thought he wouldn’t want to work any closer with me than he has to given what happened ….. turns out he was “heartened to know that I actually wanted to work with him.” I’m the lower person on the totem pole, but I really did take a round out of him that time, though I thought it had all been left behind save for an obvious cautiousness. Clearly we need to have a few drinks to fully sort things out, but at least it came out and he was open to the idea of working together more closely.

Oh, and it’s Friday afternoon 🙂

Now all of that deserves a little celebration.
