August 23, 2014 – Several weeks ago we were out for an evening walk and wandered into Murdo Frazer Park. I never realized how big the park was, had no idea there were tennis courts there, and although I always knew that there was a golf course up here, I had no idea it was a pitch and putt.
Curious, we walked over to see the course and find out what the cost was. When we saw that adult course fees were a paltry $7.50 we made a pact that we would try it out.
So this afternoon we grabbed some of Kirk’s clubs and walked over to play a round.
Let me just say that I suck at golf.
But I sucked a little less than some of the others out there today. Even though I did sewer one ball straight into the pond….right after I uttered the words “So, avoid the pond, right?” Poor duck swimming around in the pond….missiles from golfers with poor aim.
I jinxed myself.
But it was fun, and I can see us making it a regular weekly event.
Anyone else want to come join us for a couple of hours of entertainment at my expense?
Perhaps I’ll learn to suck a bit less.

Nice pic
Golf, a good walk, ruined.
Can get to be great fun!!
Oh no…not you too? 🙂
I played when I was a kid, with my grandparents. The golf course in Canoe used to be their farmland. But I’m pretty sure I sucked then too.
All the best for your journey 😉 Nice photo.
